What does “skill overlap” mean?

We compare the skill names on a candidate profile with the skills listed for a job or search. Common aliases, such as “Microsoft Excel” and “Excel”, are treated as the same skill. The percentage is matched skill names divided by requested skill names.

It does not measure competence, verify evidence, assess personality or predict performance. Missing a listed skill never automatically rejects an application. Review transferable experience and job-specific requirements.
