We are looking for highly skilled Mathematics Experts to contribute to an AI training project involving advanced mathematical problem-solving, computational mathematics, numerical methods, and Python. The work involves creating, solving, reviewing, and validating mathematical tasks that can be completed through programmatic, command-line-based workflows. A representative task may require translating a mathematical problem into a computational procedure, implementing the relevant equations or algorithms, calculating a reproducible result, testing special cases, and determining whether the final answer is mathematically and numerically valid. What You’ll Work On Solve and validate advanced mathematical and computational problems. Translate mathematical requirements into precise, executable workflows. Implement mathematical workflows using Python and command-line-accessible tools. Use Python to automate calculations, numerical experiments, parameter sweeps, visualization, and result validation. Required Qualifications An MS or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computational Science, Theoretical Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field; or A BS in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field plus at least 1–2 years of mathematics-focused professional or research experience in top companies/institutions. Strong expertise in at least one mathematical area, such as applied mathematics, numerical analysis, optimization, probability, statistics, discrete mathematics, algebra, geometry, mathematical modeling, or dynamical systems. Relevant tools may include Python, SymPy, SageMath, SciPy, CVXPY, NumPy, GNU Octave, Julia, or similar programmatic mathematical software. Experience with an equivalent CLI-accessible tool is acceptable. Relevant Python tools may include NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, CVXPY, statsmodels, NetworkX, numerical solvers, optimization libraries, or domain-specific scientific packages. No single library is mandatory. Process Apply to the role and complete the screening questions. Complete an AI interview of approximately 30 minutes. Complete the hiring manager review. Compensation Structure Compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Start Timeline & Availability We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts who are ready to begin immediately. If selected, you will be expected to start your first task within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding. Originally posted on Himalayas
